Straight answers about who Darkwell serves, what a claim review means, and what we do not do. Darkwell Capital LLC provides litigation finance or may purchase eligible claims. We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice.
Who does Darkwell serve?
Contractors, subcontractors, and trade businesses with B2B unpaid claims — typically meaningful balances where documents exist and capital (not just “send another invoice”) is the bottleneck. Common patterns: completed work unpaid, mechanic-lien leverage that needs enforcement capital, or files where attorney retainers and litigation spend are blocking action.
We review files case by case. Not every claim is a fit.
What documents should I send?
- Contract / proposal / change orders
- Invoices and amount unpaid
- Project address and parties (owner / GC / your entity)
- Last work / furnish facts (best estimate, labeled as such)
- Any notice / lien / suit status — as your counsel describes it
- Key payment emails/texts and proof of work (photos, inspection notes)
Strong paperwork speeds underwriting. Do not post confidential owner or client details in public forums.
What does a claim review mean?
A free claim review means Darkwell looks at your packet for internal underwriting: claim strength on paper, collectability signals, and whether funding or claim purchase could be relevant.
It is not legal advice. It is not a guaranteed offer. It does not create an attorney-client relationship. Many reviews end with “not a fit right now” — that is an honest answer. Typical response window: 24–48 business hours.

What does Darkwell not do?
- Practice law or appear as your attorneys
- Give legal advice (Colorado or any other state)
- Guarantee funding, approval, payment, or recovery
- Invent licenses, bar admission, case results, or win-rate metrics
- Replace your need for licensed counsel on notices, liens, filings, and strategy
Where does Darkwell operate?
Colorado is a core operating market. Darkwell also works with contractors and claims in other states (including Utah and Wyoming, and additional states case-by-case). Educational articles may discuss other markets (for example Miami and Orlando unpaid-contractor claim-funding framing); that is not a promise of funding or a license to practice law there.

Do not copy Colorado deadlines onto a Florida, California, or other-state job. Confirm every step with a licensed attorney in the project state.

Response expectations and confidentiality limits
- Response: we aim for 24–48 business hours after a usable packet arrives. Incomplete packets slow review.
- Confidentiality limits: information you submit is reviewed for internal underwriting and claim-evaluation. Submitting a form or email does not create attorney-client privilege with Darkwell (we are not your lawyers). Do not send materials you are not authorized to share.
- No overpromise: we will not claim secret “always funded” outcomes or invent metrics.
